What Etsy fields were added?
Etsy says it added product safety fields to help sellers provide GPSR-related information in listing forms. The practical fields to check are:
- Manufacturer information, including name, email, and mailing address.
- EU-based Responsible Person information when relevant for a non-EU manufacturer or seller setup.
- Product safety information, such as legally required warnings, age restrictions, disposal instructions, or other relevant safety details.

- Manufacturer legal name or trading name.
- Postal address where the manufacturer can be contacted.
- Email or electronic contact address.
- Which product types the manufacturer details cover.
- Evidence source, such as supplier invoice, packaging, label, purchase order, or manufacturer email.
EU Responsible Person checklist
- Whether your manufacturer, importer, authorized representative, or fulfilment service provider is based in the EU, EEA, or Northern Ireland.
- Name, postal address, and email for the Responsible Person if you have one.
- Proof that the Responsible Person covers the specific product type.
- Where the Responsible Person details will appear in Etsy or your internal records.
- Whether you need a qualified provider before selling to EU or NI buyers.
Product safety warning checklist
- Collect only warnings, restrictions, care instructions, or disposal notes that apply to your actual product.
- Check product labels, packaging, instructions, supplier documents, and manufacturer messages.
- Do not invent legal warnings just to fill the field.
- Flag any warning text that needs translation or qualified review.
- Keep a record of who approved the final wording before publishing.
Proof-file checklist
- Listing screenshots before and after GPSR updates.
- Product and packaging photos showing labels or safety information.
- Supplier invoices, purchase records, or manufacturer emails.
